A fixed rental period has a specific start and end date. For example, February 2026 – July 2026 means you are expected to rent the accommodation for that entire period.
Go to My Booking, scroll down and click Disconnect from booking.
1. Select your city and start month.
2. Create an account, pay the one-time €35 platform fee for access to the Find a Flatmate tool.
3. Make an inquiry

Please note:
RoomPlaza only reviews inquiries from complete groups. Make sure the number of tenants matches the number of rooms and that all group members have paid the platform fee.
You can only have one active inquiry at a time.
To inquire about another apartment, you must first disconnect from your previous booking.Go to My Booking page to disconnect from your booking.
Please note that deleting your account will also remove your paid platform access. If you want to use RoomPlaza again in the future, you will need to create a new account and pay the platform fee again.
1. Go to My Profile
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page
3. Remove my account (see below)
This does not guarantee a room, as we work on a first come first serve basis.
1. Check our Instagram page for updates on when the booking season opens and which apartments are available.
2. Make sure every group member has paid the €35 platform fee. We know from experience that it can cause some delay if not all members of the group have paid the platform fee. For example, if 2 people in a group of 4 have not yet paid the platform fee, a complete group with paid RoomPlaza accounts will be given priority in this case.
3. If you plan to rent a shared apartment, please form a group when making a booking and do not wait too long to add your flatmates to your booking.
Go to My Profile, select Show me in Find a Flatmate, to be visible to all users in the Find a Flatmate tool.
We have lots of studios and mostly 3/4 person apartments (with some exceptions of more or less), you can prepare yourself for this if you would like to rent a shared flat. Please note that you cannot form a group before making an inquiry
4. Please read the advertisement carefully.
If the advertisement says: 'only suitable for first-year students' and you are not a first-year student but for example a second- or third-year student, the chance of you renting the flat would be very small. If anyone in your group is not a first-year student, your group will not be accepted. We would suggest applying for a flat which suits the specific requirements or inquiry for an apartment which has no special requirements at all.
5. Choose a listing with fewer groups ahead of you, as you can only have one active booking. Each listing shows how many groups are ahead of you, for example: “3 other groups in line awaiting approval”.
Because you can only have one active booking at a time, we recommend choosing a listing with fewer to no groups ahead of you to increase your chances.
Additionally, in the advertisement is stated if the utilities are included or excluded from the rental price.
6. Final steps
If you and the rest of your flat mates have a paid RoomPlaza account, made an inquiry for the flat you are interested in and you added each other to the booking, then you have done everything successfully on your part and it is just a matter of waiting for approval from the landlord. In case you will rent by yourself and you paid the platform fee and made an inquiry then the same applies to you. You can read here what will be next.
In case you get rejected for a flat because another person or group made a booking earlier than you, please do not forget to disconnect from your booking before making a new one. This is because you cannot make multiple bookings at the same time.
Bookings usually open in spring for apartments available from August onwards. The exact opening date will be announced on Instagram.
